PE and Sports Premium
Pinehurst Primary School believes that physical education, experienced in a safe and cooperative environment is vital and unique in its contribution to a pupil's physical and emotional development, as well as their health and well-being.
The physical education curriculum aims to provide for pupils increasing confidence through an ability to manage themselves successfully in a variety of situations. A balance of individual, team, co-operative and competitive activities aims to cater for individual pupil's needs and abilities. Pupils will develop a sense of fair play, respect and sportsmanship through our high quality teaching and learning of physical development in all key stages.
Here at Pinehurst we offer a variety of after school sports club throughout the year, such as football, tennis, multi-skills and netball for all Key Stages.
The government has issued a sports grant to schools to develop children's skills as well as the teaching of the subject. Please see our Sport Premium Strategy document for more information.
