Academy Consultation
The Governing Body of Pinehurst Primary School is proposing to become an Academy under the Academies Act 2010.
The Governing Body is intending to join Cheshire Academies Trust.
Further information about what becoming an academy means, and how to comment on the proposals, is set out in the documents on this page.
The decision to undertake a consultation was taken following extensive and remarkably thorough work by the Governing Body looking into many different aspects of what it would mean to be an academy and which multi academy trust would be best to support Pinehurst Primary School.
The Governing Body wishes to engage in consultation with a broad group of stakeholders and that this can only be done through public consultation.
The final decision will be made by the Governing Body post consultation.
We would very much welcome your participation in the consultation and also to raise any concerns that you may have.
There are lots of ways to do this including:
Contacting Mrs Katy Glynn, Headteacher, at Pinehurst Primary School
Attend the Parent consultation evening on Tuesday 29th April at 5.00pm at School
Look out for the update letters throughout the consultation process

There is also more information about academies on the DfE website: http://www.education.gov.uk/academies
If you can’t find the answer to your question through consultation, or on the DfE website, please email [email protected]
The Pinehurst Primary School consultation remains open until 20th May 2025 and the Governing Body is meeting then to determine the outcome.
