European Day of Languages Experience - Spanish Day
This week we have celebrated European Day of Languages with a Spanish Day in school.
At Pinehurst Primary School we participate in weekly Spanish lessons, led by our native speaker Miss Elba.
On Wednesday 22nd September children in Pinehurst dressed in red and yellow, or Spanish dresses, to celebrate European Day of Languages. We immersed ourselves in a full day of Spanish culture. All children enjoyed tasting a Spanish food platter including a selection of meats, cheese, olives and bread washed down by refreshing Sangria. We also took part in Spanish dancing, learning a short routine. Classes also enjoyed an extra session with Miss Elba, learning about Gaudi, Spanish festivals and learning Spanish songs.
The kitchen staff made a delicious chicken and chorizo paella for lunch with patatas bravas.
